We are excited to share that FortyGuard has been shortlisted for the prestigious London Business School (LBS) Middle East & North Africa Startup Competition 2024! This annual competition, now in its third edition, has established itself as a premier platform for innovative startups in the MENA region, providing access to key investors, media exposure, and mentorship from industry leaders.

Organized by LBS’s Institute of Entrepreneurship and Private Capital (IEPC) and supported by AstroLabs and CODE, the LBS MENA Startup Competition is designed to help startups that leverage cutting-edge technologies and provide sustainable solutions aligned with the region’s economic priorities. The competition not only focuses on venture capital matchmaking but also offers significant mentorship opportunities and high visibility across major media platforms.

It’s a unique chance for startups to raise funds, gain exposure, and showcase their potential to transform industries—and we’re thrilled that FortyGuard is part of this journey.

At FortyGuard, we’re dedicated to helping cities tackle the growing issue of extreme urban heat through our temperature intelligence technology. Our solution empowers cities with data-driven insights to make strategic decisions that improve urban sustainability and resilience. Being shortlisted for this competition gives us the opportunity to highlight the impact of our technology on a larger scale and connect with key players in the MENA startup ecosystem.

The competition will continue with Semi-Finals in October 2024, where we’ll have the chance to pitch our innovative solution virtually. Should we advance, the journey will culminate in the Final Pitch Competition in Dubai on November 29, 2024, where finalists will present their ventures in front of a prestigious panel of investors and industry experts.

For us, this is not only a chance to gain exposure but also an opportunity to take our mission further—to make cities cooler, smarter, and more sustainable.
