FortyGuard is proud to be featured in Huawei's Transform magazine, in an article titled "Smarter and cooler: How AI is rewriting the urban heat map." Transform is Huawei's global publication on the technologies reshaping industries and cities, reaching an audience of business leaders, policymakers, and innovators worldwide.

The article recognizes FortyGuard's work in using artificial intelligence to measure, predict, and manage city temperatures, pointing to Abu Dhabi as a place where extreme heat remains an invisible threat and where that work is already visible on the ground.

It highlights our Large Temperature Models (LTMs) as a new class of large AI models that understand heat at a street-by-street, block-by-block level. The article notes how data from these models has contributed to upgrades in surface materials, shading patterns, and vegetation placement — reducing ambient temperature by up to 5 degrees Celsius, decreasing dangerous-heat days by 25%, and improving overall energy efficiency.

The piece also covers how our insights are being integrated into live sustainability dashboards that inform infrastructure design, pedestrian comfort strategies, and longer-term cooling policies; our work on heat equity, including the Health in Climate AI Hackathon with Cornell Tech at Climate Week NYC; and Temperature Sense, our platform bringing temperature awareness into robotics and automation.
